In May we honour victim-survivors of abuse through Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month events. Thriving after Domestic Abuse will be the theme for our 6th Women Weaving Stories, and we welcome our speakers Franky and Kelly.
Franky says: ‘Having spent time at “rock bottom,” I’m now embracing the art of self-love. My love for cooking is one way I connect with people and is one of the ingredients of my healing. I look forward to sharing the tools I continue to uncover in my journey.’
Kelly is an adventurer, camper and lover of the outdoors who loves to talk, connect, and share experiences with women. Survivor of emotional abuse. Woman, Feminist, Mother. Domestic Violence Counsellor and Relationship & Separation Coach.
The evening will be facilitated by Kylie Heenan, a counselling professional who also specialises in domestic violence work, and a fellow survivor-thrived after abuse. Kylie has a passion for helping others to express the version of themselves that most aligns with their goals and dreams. She also enjoys gardening, macro photography, tropical islands, her grandkids and cats!
We are looking forward to seeing you at WOMENSPACE! We thank you for $5 donation to support our future projects. Wine will be available to purchase on arrival. Please RSVP by Comment on Facebook or text to 0434 357 862
