    As a Hirer of the Womenspace facility I will adhere and agree to the following;
    1. Adhere to Physical distancing requirements. Keeping at least 1.5 metres distance between everyone at the class/ workshop/ meeting/workplace.
    2. Max 13 participants downstairs including facilitator.
    3. Max 3 in both front and treatment room.
    4. Max 6 in library plus facilitator.
    5. To please move furniture and items to comply with this if not already in place.
    6. All clients/participants of hirers will register contact details and at least first name will be recorded and sent to Venue Manager each hiring day. This is confidential. Privacy is respected and these details are for COVID safe requirements only and will be destroyed after one month.
    7. Practice Handwashing and hygiene before/on entering the WS premises, during and before leaving WS
    8. Request clients and participants adhere to above and refrain from touching surfaces in the kitchen downstairs, and upstairs lounge and kitchen, unless prior approval is from Venue Manager
    9. All hirers and their participants must bring own drink containers and equipment where needed.
    10. No Womenspace equipment is to be used other than that agreed on hiring
    11. Use Womenspace hand sanitiser provided and please alert VM if this runs out.
    12. Agree to do check list clean for frequent use areas at end of each hire session. Sign and send confirmation of this via a photo to VM ( this will be explained)
  • Terms and Conditions
    When hiring space at Womenspace, you accept the following:  
    1. Womenspace is a space for women to meet and connect, however men can hire the space from time to time with prior approval from Board. Men can attend WS events.
    2. All hirers must be aged 18 years or over.
    3. I will take good care of the property, ensuring it is not misused and report any damage or breakages to the Womenspace office. I will not interfere with, remove or damage any of Womenspace’s property.
    4. CLEANING FEE: before leaving the premises the Hirer/s has 2 options:
      1. Ensure the floors, kitchen and toilets are left in the same condition as upon entry. If need be, vacuum &/or mop floors, wipe kitchen benches, clean toilets and empty bins into the large bins outside. Equipment is provided for cleaning.
      2. Or, pay a cleaning fee of $20.
    5. PAYMENT: To be paid in full, 7 days prior to the hire date.
    6. KEY: is to be collected from and returned to the Womenspace office, during office hours, or the key safe, after hours, before leaving the property. 
    7. BOND: a bond of $20, per hire, is required.  For long term hire, the bond is kept for the duration of the Hire Agreement. This bond will be returned on inspection of the room for cleanliness and any breakages or damage.
    8. INSURANCE: You must have Public Liability Insurance to the value of $10 million dollars and provide a Certificate of Currency for the Hire Agreement to be valid.
    9. CANCELLATIONꓽ if either party cancels this Hire Agreement, the party cancelling must take all necessary steps to ensure that the other party is formally notified in a timely manner.
    10. REFUND: If the hirer gives written notice of cancellation more than 48 hours before the hire date the hire fee may be refunded. In all other circumstances Womenspace retains the hire fee. If Womenspace cancel within 48 hours from the date of hire, and no alternative arrangements can be agreed upon, then the hire fee will be refunded.
    11. NON-PAYMENTꓽ if the agreed fee has not been paid and receipted by the due date, then the property may not be made available to the hirer.
    12. Womenspace is not responsible for the process or content of any activities facilitated at Womenspace. All promotion of hire activities is the responsibility of the hirer.
    13. Worker’s Compensation is the responsibility of the hirer.
    14. *Membersꓽ this refers to current members of Womenspace.
    15. You must obtain Womenspace approval to have alcohol on the property.
    16. This Hire Agreement covers a designated area of the Womenspace property, not the whole property.
    17. Hiring includes use of toilets. Kitchen use is for half and full day hirers only with venue manager approval   for the time during the period of hire.
    18. All property hire is at the discretion of Womenspace.
    19. Upstairs, noise must be kept to a minimum to respect other users.
    20. No parking in driveway. All vehicles to use street parking.
    21. No pets or animals permitted, excluding assistance dogs.
    Special conditions:  You understand and agree this Hire Agreement under no circumstances is to be considered as a lease or any other agreement and this Hire Agreement confers no statutory rights of security of tenure conferred by the above Agreement.

  • For sections of the premises located at 11 Second Avenue, Sandgate known as Womenspace.
