Friday 10th March at Womenspace
11 Second Avenue, Sandgate
6.00pm call for 6.30start – 8.30pm
Womenspace and SANDBAG are working together to create a treat for local women in terms of celebrating women’s lives.
The event is part of the Womenspace series of Women Weaving Stories, which occurs on the second Friday of each month.
Come along and hear women from across generations consider and dialogue about the significance of International Women’s Day in their personal and public lives. Do we think of justice for women differently across the generations, how do we perceive gender, how do we position ourselves in the face of the ongoing power of patriarchy?
We are very happy to welcome to Womenspace the youngest presenter on the panel – Rachel Kennedy, who introduces herself:
“I’m Rachel and I’m 16. I was last year’s Queensland youth parliament member for Sandgate and this year I’ve been excitedly selected as the youth member for Nudgee. I’m in year 12 at a local school and passionate about activism, equality, and climate action.”
Looking forward to seeing you at 11 Second Avenue Sandgate.
Thank you for donation of $5 at the door.
