Chair Yoga is an accessible yoga practice, suitable for everyBody. Incorporating all aspects of yoga – pranayama (breath), asana (postures), single pointed focus (meditation), all whilst supported on your Chair. This gentle practice will have you moving and breathing mindfully for strength, flexibility, mobility and to challenge balance, a short standing sequence practiced behind the safety of your Chair, is included. We finish the class with either silent, guided or Kirtan Kriya meditation to quieten the mind. Krishnamacharya said “if you can breathe, you can do yoga”. And by practicing on a Chair, this is absolutely correct.
